WOMEN EMPOWERMENT CELL (WEC)
The Women Empowerment Cell at J.S.S. College of Education established with the motto of “Empowering through Engaging,” aims to empower ladies students and women faculty by creating awareness of their rights and duties and addressing practical issues related to welfare.
- Women Empowerment Cell is committed to making the college campus a safe place for ladies and women by taking up women's issues and problems.
- The cell provides a platform for women to share theair experiences and views regarding their status in society.
- Aiming at the intellectual and social upliftment of female students, the cell facilitates women’s empowerment through guest lectures, seminars, awareness programs, and other welfare activities.
OBJECTIVES
- To train women and female students to be mentally, financially, and emotionally empowered with life skills and leadership.
- To counsel women students on women specific issues with the help of women cell.
- To empower them through various awareness sessions on topics such as health, legal rights, nutrition, defense techniques.
- To organise debates and discussions on gender equality to enable the students to realize gender sensitization, thus leading to more equality and harmony in family and society.
- To develop Vocational and technical skills among the women students by providing special training to enable them to become independent earners of their living.
