Science Curriculum Laboratory

The Science Curriculum Laboratory is maintained to cope up with the Practice and Drill tasks for Demonstrations, activities to be conducted in the practice teaching schools during the Pre-Internship session, Block teaching session, Internship sessions of B.Ed. Science student-Teachers.

• To create scientific interest and scientific attitude among student-teachers by performing the demonstration of the activities prescribed in the secondary science text book.
• To facilitate the first hand experiences in observation and manipulation of the materials of science among student- teachers.
• To develop intuition and deeper understanding of concepts among student- teachers.
• To apply concepts learned in class to new situations and to learn to use scientific apparatus among student- teachers.
• To develop experimental and data analysis skills among student-teachers
• To develop critical, quantitative thinking and reporting skills (written and oral) among student-teachers.
• To exercise curiosity, and creativity by designing a procedure to test a hypothesis and to practice collaborative problem solving among student- teachers.
