The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) was established on 20th September 1985 through an Act of Parliament, with the primary aim of making higher education accessible to every individual in the country. IGNOU has been a pioneer in distance and open learning in India, empowering learners from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
In 1990, the IGNOU Study Centre 1307 was established at BLDEA’s J.S.S. College of Education, Vijayapur. Since its inception, the centre has been instrumental in providing flexible, accessible, and high-quality education. Currently, the centre offers 24+ programs, including prestigious courses like MCA and MBA, meeting the needs of learners aspiring to excel in various domains.

Functions of IGNOU Study Centre 1307
Admission Promotion Activities:
Disseminate information about IGNOU programs and assist learners with the admission process.
Conducting Counseling Classes (Offline/Online):
Provide academic support through well-structured counseling sessions for better understanding and learner engagement.
Assignment Evaluation:
Evaluate assignments submitted by learners to ensure academic standards and provide constructive feedback.
Conducting Term-End Examinations:
Organize and conduct term-end examinations twice a year (July and December sessions).
Organizing Induction Meetings:
Welcome new learners, provide orientation about IGNOU programs, and guide them on course structures and study methods.
Celebration of National and Cultural Programs:
